Tyner Signs To Play In Colombian Basketball League

CourtKings forward/center Raheem Tyner has signed a contract to join the Sabios Basketball Club of the Colombian Basketball League in Manizales, Colombia this coming season.

The 6′ 7″, 225 pound Minnesota native departed for the Caldas region of Colombia on the morning of Friday, September 28 to join his new team. Tyner played the previous winter for the HAB Caicos Sonics in the Turks and Caicos Islands, where his team competed in the 2018 Copa Mitchell America Cup, a tournament consisting of several professional teams in the United States and Latin America.

In two seasons of play with the CourtKings, Tyner averaged 14.8 points and 6.4 rebounds per game in 2017 and 2018. Tyner was also named the Midwest Basketball League’s Rookie of the Year in 2017.

The CourtKings organization wishes Raheem the best of the luck as he continues his career professionally in South America.
