The Midwest Basketball League has announced that the Green Bay Area Titans will be added to league for the 2019 season.
This news comes as a results of the Great Plains Bison being unable to fulfill their 2019 schedule due to health related issues of their team owner. As a result, the Titans will play the Bison’s schedule in 2019 as scheduled, with the exception of their Saturday, May 11 game against the Rochester Roadrunners, which will be moved to Sunday, June 23.
Formerly known as the Wisconsin Gamechangers, the Titans have experienced success in the MBL in the past. In 2017, the team made a deep run into the MBL’s Branding Division playoffs before falling to the eventual champion Chicago Knights. In both 2017 and 2018, they also played the Cedar Valley CourtKings in a preseason exhibition game in Charles City, Iowa.
The CourtKings will play the Titans at home at the Cedar Valley SportsPlex on Sunday, April 28 at 7:30pm. They will then travel to the Green Bay area in Wisconsin on Saturday, May 25 for their second and final meeting of the regular season.
