Minor League Basketball coming to Oelwein

Calling all CourtKing fans! The 2019 season is just around the corner, and here is your chance to see your favorite Midwest Basketball League team in action before the regular season begins!

The Cedar Valley CourtKings will play an exhibition game on Saturday, March 23  at 4 p.m. at the Husky Gym in Oelwein, the home arena of CourtKings head coach and Oelwein high school basketball coach Michael Mohlis.

The CourtKings will take on the Illinois Bulldogs in this matchup, a former member of the Midwest Basketball League, and current member of the American Basketball Association (ABA).

Come see some of our returning players take the court such as reigning league most valuable player Brady Burford, 2016 MBL Championship Game MVP Anthony James, as well as David Stanley, Aundre Hicks and Queshawn Roby. A number of new faces will see action as well, including former University of Massachusetts center Isaac Freeman, MBL veteran Jared Sutherland, former St. Thomas University forward Jordan Burich and former Adams State guard Jaree Crawford.

Doors to the Husky Gym will open at 3 p.m. Admission will be $5 per person with Oelwein students being able to get into the game for $1 with their Oelwein school ID.

Tickets for the 2019 season are selling online at cvcourtkings.com, or are also available for purchase by calling 319-404-5941. Fans can experience our new courtside seating for $20 for a single game or all eight home games for $99. Adults single game tickets cost $10, while season tickets run for $59. Youth and college students can purchase single game tickets for $5, or season tickets for $30.
