CourtKings Visit Central Middle School

As a chance for members of the Cedar Valley CourtKings to visit the youth of their community, six members of the team, along with associate head coach Billy Campbell, owner/general manager Gary Rima, and team mascot ‘Loo paid a visit to the students and teachers of Central Middle School in Waterloo on Friday, April 20.

Aundre Hicks and Marcus Smith spoke to the students and talked about the importance of staying in school and working hard for good grades to be successful. The team followed their speeches to the students with an exhibition of their skills against various youth teams from the school. The CourtKings even took on a squad of Central Middle School teachers in a hotly contested games. Students got the chance to take pictures and receive signed autographs from players following the action in the school gym.

Fans can see the CourtKings in action this Sunday night as they host the Rochester Roadrunners in their second home game of the season at the Cedar Valley SportsPlex. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30 pm, while John Leo will have the online radio broadcast beginning at 7:15pm at cvcourtkings.com.
