WATERLOO, Iowa— The Cedar Valley CourtKings (1-2) are preparing to host the Wisconsin Storm (1-2), this Sunday, May 22 at the Cedar Valley Sportsplex in Waterloo. The game is set to tip-off at 7:30 p.m.
After a great inaugural home game, the CourtKings are eager to get back on the court. Last week, the CourtKings had a strong victory over the Minnesota Broncos, 111-71. The Storm took on the Chicago Clovers, winning 135-132 on May 14.
New Aldaya is the game sponsor for the CourtKings vs. the Storm. All senior citizens 60 and over get in for half price just $5 tickets for seniors this Sunday night compliments of New Aldaya!
Players to Watch
Andre Norris, the former two-time Iowa Conference Player of the Year from the University of Dubuque, had a stellar performance last week against the Broncos. Norris led the CourtKings with 18 points last week. Norris averages 14 points per game, along with 4.5 rebounds per game for the CourtKings.
Marvin Singleton, fresh off his tour in China, made his debut with the CourtKings last week. Singleton chipped in 15 points in the CourtKings win last week. Singleton helped on the defensive end of the court, grabbing 8 rebounds.
Anthony James is also enjoying being back in the Cedar Valley. James scored 10 points for the CourtKings last week and averages 11 points per game for the CourtKings. “It feels good being back here. Different group of guys but it’s an honor to come back here,” remarked Anthony James after the win.
All seating is general admission. Adult tickets are $10 with kids 18 and under getting in for $5 and five and under are FREE.
Doors open at 6:15pm for season ticket holders and at 6:30 pm for walk-up ticket sales and the general public.
