CourtKings play 1st home ever this Sunday

It has been months in the making and this Sunday the Cedar Valley CourtKings will finally get a chance to play before the hometown crowd as they host the Minnesota Broncos in a 7:30pm tip at the Cedar Valley SportsPlex at 300 Jefferson St in Waterloo.
After playing their first two Midwest Basketball League games in Chicago against the Clovers and the Fury it will be great to finally play at home in Waterloo.
A couple of former UNI Panthers will be in action for the CourtKings. Anthony James is a starting guard for the CourtKings and Marvin Singleton is back from his China trip and will play in his first game with the CourtKings on Sunday. Also former Panther and member of the UNI Sweet 16 team, 7′ 1″ Jordan Egleseder, is on the roster but is on the DL but will be in attendance to sign autographs and take pictures with the fans.
Wartburg star player Clay Cook has started both games this season for Cedar Valley and will look to try and lead the team to its first MBL win.
Andre Norris, the 6′ 7″ two time Iowa Conference Player of the Year from the University of Dubuque will also be in action along with NAIA and Mt Mercy All American Alex Houston. Three other former Mt Mercy players are a big part of this years team including Lamar Wall, Alex Coleman and LaDon Singleton.
The CourtKings will play with a heavy heart after losing teammate and starting point guard Rashad Carrington this past Sunday who passed away in an automobile accident on I-380 between Iowa City and Cedar Rapids. The Cedar Valley CourtKings will honor Rashad by retiring his jersey at this Sundays game.
