WATERLOO, Iowa—The Cedar Valley CourtKings walked away from the Oxford Community Center last night, winning over the Minnesota Broncos 129-104.
Andre Norris, the MBL West player of the last two weeks, led the CourtKings in scoring with 28 points. Five other CourtKings would join him in reaching the double-figure mark. Wakefield Ellison grabbed 26 points on 8 of 9 field goals, 2 of 3 three-point shots and all 4 of his free throws. Anthony James nabbed 14 points and Marvin Singleton followed with 13 points. Alex Coleman and Gage Heffernan each had 12 points in the victory.
The 44 point first half was the best first quarter for the CourtKings.
“It was great to get that first road win,” said Owner/GM Gary Rima, “The guys are playing really good right now. We’ve won 5 of our last 6 and come home this Saturday to take on the MBL Select Team at 7:30.”
The CourtKings lead the series, 2-0.

In the MBL West, the Minnesota Rangers continue to hold onto first place in the league, defeating the Chicago Fury, 122-101. The Wisconsin Storm forfeited against the Lincoln Lions.
In the MBL East, the Dayton AirStrikers defeated the Indiana Fury, 146-128. The Hamilton Heroes walked away with the victory over the Northern Indiana Monarchs, 112-76.
