Aundre’ Hicks is the 7th player to sign an agreement to play for the Cedar Valley CourtKings minor league basketball team in 2016.
Hicks played his high school basketball at Muscatine then played collegiality at Black Hawk College. At Black Hawk Junior College he was All Conference as well as an All Region JUCO award winner.
Aundre’ has minor league basketball experience after playing for the Northern Indiana Monarchs of the ABA. He is a 6’ 3” guard that can shoot from outside along with posting up and scoring inside.
“Dre’ is also a very good defender and knows the game.” Stated team owner and General Manager Gary Rima. “ He is always talking to his teammates on the floor and locked into what is going on especially at the defensive end.”
Aundre’ lives in Waterloo and works at Bertch Cabinets.
The CourtKings are set to play in the inaugural season of the Midwest Basketball League that features 11 teams from five states. The CourtKings will play in the West Division with the Minnesota Rangers, Sioux City Hornets, Wisconsin Storm, Minnesota Broncos and Chicago Fury.
The CourtKings open their season on Saturday April 23rd at Sioux City. The CourtKings home opener is set for May 15th at 7:30 against the Minnesota Broncos at the Cedar Valley SportsPlex in Waterloo.
