CourtKings advance to Semi Finals of MBL Playoffs

The Cedar Vslley CourtKings played the first ever MBL Playoff game and they lit up the scoreboard at the Minneapolis Sports Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The CourtKings set a franchise record by scoring 156 points in a 156-108 win over the Indiana Dream. The CourtKings jumped on Indiana early leading 43-26 at the end of the first quarter. The CourtKings increased the lead at halftime scoring 87 first half points to lead 87-55 at the break. The Dream outscored Cedar Valley 27-26 in the 3rd quarter but a 43 point fourth quarter for the CourtKings would get them the 156-108 win.
Marvin Singleton led the way with 27 points. Wakefield Ellison had a double double with 26 points and 13 rebounds. Anthony James had another great floor game scoring 26 points and dishing out 6 assists. Alex Coleman added 21 points. Aundre Hicks got the 1st triple double by a CourtKings player. Hicks scored 16 points, dished out 11 assists and grabbed 10 rebounds. Ladon Singleton and Gage Heffernan scored 12 and 11 points respectively as 7 CourtKings scored in double figures. Clay Cook grabbed 12 rebounds including 7 at the offensive end.
The CourtKings now play Saturday night at 6pm vs the #1 seed from the MBL East the Dayton AirStrikers who had a 1st round bye.

NOTES: The CourtKings are playing without one of their MBL AllStars. Andre Norris has sign to play in Spain with the C.B. Clavijo club.
The,CourtKings Lamar Wall is eligible to play in the semi finals after sitting out a 2 game suspension.

The other semi final game pits the MBL West #1 seed Minnesota Rangers against the East 2 seed Indiana Fury who beat the Chicago Fury 123-120 in the other 1/4 final round playoff game Friday night.
