Cedar Valley Prepares For Two Games Minnesota Swing

For the first nine games of the Cedar Valley CourtKings 2018 season, every game and subsequent victory has came week by week. But for the first time this year, the two-time reigning Midwest Basketball League champions will play two games in a two day span as they travel to Minnesota this coming weekend to face MBL Select and division rival T.C. Elite.

Saturday’s game against MBL Select, a member of the league’s traveling team division, will be the third all-time meeting between the Cedar Valley and the St. Paul based team. The CourtKings claiming victory in the most recent meeting back on May 14, 2017 in Waterloo, 149-105. Tip off between the CourtKings and MBL Select is scheduled for 4:00pm Saturday afternoon at the Oxford Community Center-Jimmy Lee Rec Center Gym in St. Paul.

Following Saturday afternoon’s game with MBL Select, the CourtKings will travel across the Mississippi River to Minneapolis to take on Northwest Division rival T.C. Elite for the second time in the last three weeks. Both squads faced off on June 2nd in a tightly contested game with the Cedar Valley claiming a six point victory, 100-94. It was in that game that six CourtKings finished in double figures in scoring with Brady Burford leading the way 17 points and five rebounds. The opening tip with T.C. Elite is set for 3:00pm at Patrick Henry High School in Minneapolis.
