Carrington, Singleton sign with CourtKings

The Cedar Valley CourtKings are proud to announce the signing of their fifth and sixth players for the 2016 roster.
Former Mount Mercy University standouts Rashad Carrington and LaDon Singleton have signed player agreement contracts with the CourtKings for the inaugural 2016 season of the Midwest Basketball League.

Carrington is a 6’0″ point guard with post-collegiate experience with the Houston Lone Star Strikers of the IBL. Singleton is a 6’4″ guard with post-collegiate experience with the ABA Indiana Monarchs. Team owner and GM Gary Rima said “Rashad is a leader on and off the court. Coach Stan Hughes and all of our evaluators at our open tryout noticed his leadership abilities and his winning attitude. ” Rima added “LaDon is a big physical guard at 6′ 4″ who can score from all 3 levels on the court. He also brings defense and rebounding at the guard position.” Both Carrington and Singleton were signed from the group of guys who were at the second open tryout.

The CourtKings are set to play in the inaugural season of the Midwest Basketball League that features 11 teams from five states. The CourtKings will play in the West Division with the Minnesota Rangers, Sioux City Hornets, Wisconsin Storm, Minnesota Broncos and Chicago Fury.
The CourtKings open their season on Saturday April 23rd at Sioux City. The CourtKings home opener is set for May 15th at 7:30 against the Minnesota Broncos at the Cedar Valley SportsPlex in Waterloo.
