While tip-off for the 2018 Midwest Basketball League season is still several months away, the Cedar Valley CourtKings are already beginning to lock up their roster in preparation for a run at a third straight league championship.
The CourtKings have re-signed guard Anthony James for a third season with the team. James, a 6 foot, 180 pound native of St. Louis, Missouri played as a member of the CourtKings previous two championship teams in 2016 and 2017. Since graduating from the University of Northern Iowa in 2013, James has already made a noteworthy mark upon the CourtKings franchise. In his first two seasons with the team, James has become the all-time scoring leader in CourtKings history with 447 total points, with an average 15.4 points per game. In addition to his excellent scoring ability, James also has averaged 3.8 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game.
