3-1 Kings return home to host Green Bay

After three road games on the road over the course of a two week span, the Cedar Valley CourtKings (3-1) return home for the first of two home games at the Cedar Valley SportsPlex in Waterloo. The CourtKings’ first opponent in this two game homestand will be the Green Bay Area Titans (2-1), who in their first season in the Midwest Basketball League have fought their way to the top of the West Division.

Led by former University of Wisconsin-Green Bay standout Steven Baker, the Titans have racked up two quality wins on the young season. Green Bay dropped their season opener of April 7 against the Eagan Bulldogs, 120-105, before taking down the Iowa Elite Pro in Des Moines in a 117-113 shootout on April 13 and holding off the North Minneapolis Eagles last Saturday 109-106.

The CourtKings enter this game after five players scored double-digit figures against the Rochester Roadrunners last weekend in southern Minnesota in the Cedar Valley’s 131-114. Brady Burford led the way with 30 points, as Emeche Wells scored 24, Aundre Hicks tallied 19, David Stanley finished with 18 and Anthony James recorded 17.

Doors to the Cedar Valley SportsPlex will open at 6:30PM for the 7:30PM tip-off. Tickets are available for purchase at the door upon entry. Fans can experience our new courtside seating for $20 for a single game or all eight home games for $99. Adults single game tickets cost $10, while season tickets run for $59. Youth and college students can purchase single game tickets for $5, season tickets for $30, or youth/college student courtside seating for $15.

Those unable to attend the game can catch the Voice of the CourtKings John Leo with the online radio call of the game at https://www.meridix.com/channel/?liveid=CVCOURTKINGS#/ with a 7:20PM pregame show.
